Join us for a fun and creative craft session where you will learn how to make your own finger-knitted snakes! First, we will start by reading Verdi by Janell Cannon, a story about a young yellow python learning to appreciate himself. Then, using a simple finger-knitting technique—no needles required—we will create long, slithery snakes out of colorful yarn. This activity builds fine motor skills, encourages creativity, and introduces fiber arts in a hands-on way. Each participant will take home their very own soft, squishy snake to play with or decorate their space.
Fee includes materials to knit one snake. Please register those who will be making the craft. A parent or guardian is required to attend with participants 12 and younger.
