Township Manager, Spencer Cadden, explains why it’s important to flush ONLY human waste and toilet paper — even if a product is labeled “flushable.”
🚫 Please do NOT flush:
- “Flushable” wipes
- Diapers
- Swiffer Mop Pads
- Mop Heads
- Disposable Gloves or other plastic/latex products
- Paper towels
- Feminine hygiene products
- Cotton swabs or cotton balls
- Dental floss
- Any other items besides human waste and toilet paper
Even products labeled “flushable” may not break down or move properly through the sanitary sewer system. These items can cause blockages and sewer backups into your home and your neighbors’ homes.
Help us protect our sewer system and prevent costly backups by remembering one simple rule:
✅ Only human waste and toilet paper should be flushed!
Thank you for helping keep Lawrence Park Township’s sewer system running properly!
