The National Weather Service Pittsburgh is advising of heavy rainfall today, especially this morning and into the afternoon, with the potential for rapid-onset flooding throughout the area.
🚧 Please stay alert and use extra caution if you are traveling today.
🌊 Watch for flooded roadways, standing water, and low-lying areas
🚫 Never drive through a flooded roadway — Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
🚗 Slow down and allow extra travel time during periods of heavy rain
🌳 Be alert for downed trees, branches, and debris
⚡ Watch for downed power lines and wires
🚫 Never approach or drive over a downed wire — always assume it is live
📱 Monitor the latest forecasts and make sure you are able to receive weather watches and warnings
