Description
The Plymouth Twp. Fire Department was dispatched for a vehicle fire around 09:47 am this morning.
Chief 160 and Engine 173 responded with three Part-time and Volunteer firefighters for this incident. While enroute crews upgraded the response to a structure fire response with reports that it was extending into the house. This included a tanker truck from Jefferson and an engine from Kingsville fire departments.
Engine 173 was first on scene and found a working vehicle fire in the driveway with a residential exposure. Chief 160 assumed command. A 1-½ handline was stretched and the fire was quickly brought under control.
The house was checked for extension with a thermal imaging camera and checked all clear. Mutual aid was then canceled. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and is believed to be accidental in nature.
