Description
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for our area through tomorrow morning.
Additional thunderstorms are expected to move through Western Pennsylvania this afternoon and into the evening, with the potential for:
💨 Damaging winds
🧊 Large hail
🌧️ Heavy downpours and localized flooding
⚡ Possible power outages
🌳 Downed trees, limbs and power lines
With the storms that have already moved through our area and additional severe weather possible today, we are asking residents to please remain alert and use extra caution.
⚡ If you experience a power outage, please contact the Borough Building so we can be aware of affected areas.
🚫 NEVER approach a downed power line. Always assume it is live.
🌳 Be alert for downed trees, limbs and debris, especially while traveling.
🚗 DO NOT drive through standing water or flooded roadways. Water may be deeper than it appears, and road conditions underneath may be unsafe.
📱 Please continue to monitor local weather forecasts and make sure you are able to receive weather watches and warnings throughout the day.
