Description
Flood Advisory issued August 28 at 11:05AM EDT until August 28 at 12:30PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Western Dixie County in Big Bend Florida...
Southeastern Taylor County in Big Bend Florida...
* WHEN...Until 1230 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1104 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 5 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Steinhatchee, Cross City, Horseshoe Point, Horseshoe Beach, Jena,
Jonesboro, Shamrock, Howell Place, Fish Creek, Shired Island,
Bird Island, Cedar Island, Blue Springs, Keaton Beach, Jack Lee
Island, Jug Island, Dekle Beach and Adams Beach.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
