Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 22 at 6:07PM EDT until August 22 at 6:30PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 607 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
near Leechburg to near Delmont, or along a line from 7 miles north of
Vandergrift to 7 miles south of Apollo, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported trees down northeast of
Murrysville.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Vandergrift, Apollo, Murrysville, New Kensington, Lower Burrell,
Arnold, Leechburg, North Apollo, West Leechburg, Avonmore, Orchard
Hills, Export, Saltsburg, Oklahoma, West Lebanon and East
Vandergrift.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms have produced damaging winds.
