Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 22 at 5:52PM EDT until August 22 at 6:30PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 552 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
near Natrona Heights to over Murrysville, or along a line from 11
miles northwest of Vandergrift to near Monroeville, moving east at 30
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Penn Hills, Monroeville, Vandergrift, Apollo, Plum, Murrysville,
New Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison Township, Arnold, Tarentum,
Natrona Heights, Springdale, Pitcairn, Brackenridge, Leechburg,
Cheswick and Russellton.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
