Description
Kelsen Refractories has applied for and received a permit to demolish silos located at its W 6th Ave &, Center St facility in Tarentum.
The Borough of Tarentum and Allegheny County have reviewed the required plans and documentation, approved the applicable requirements, and issued authorization to proceed.
Demolition may begin as early as Tuesday, August 18, 2026, and may continue through September 18, 2026. The work will be performed using specialized crane and rigging equipment.
Residents may notice demolition activity and heavy equipment near the property during this period. Please use caution around the work area and comply with all posted signs, barricades, and instructions from onsite personnel.
