Description
Please do not remove, bypass, alter, or otherwise tamper with an electric meter. Doing so is dangerous and illegal within the Borough of Tarentum. Unauthorized meter work can cause electrocution, fire, serious injury, property damage, or service interruption.
The Borough’s electric system includes automated monitoring and alert technology that detects when meters are improperly removed or tampered with and immediately notifies the appropriate Borough personnel.
Only authorized Borough electric personnel may remove, reconnect, or perform work involving an electric meter. Contractors and property owners must contact the Borough in advance to schedule any necessary disconnection or reconnection.
For your safety and the safety of our employees and community, please leave all electric meters and related equipment undisturbed.
