Description
The National Weather Service Pittsburgh has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Allegheny County until 3:00 PM today.
Strong thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, with the potential for damaging wind gusts, heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and localized flooding.
Residents are encouraged to:
• Stay weather aware and monitor local forecasts
• Secure outdoor furniture, decorations, and other loose items
• Avoid flooded roadways — Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
• Be prepared to move indoors quickly if a warning is issued
