Description
Flash Flood Warning issued August 5 at 7:42PM EDT until August 5 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 742 PM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain
across the warned area. Water over roadways has been observed.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Public reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Monroeville,
McMurray, McKeesport, Canonsburg, Gastonville, Plum, West Mifflin,
Baldwin, Upper St. Clair, Scott Township, Wilkinsburg, Whitehall,
South Park Township and New Kensington.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
