Description
Researchers in the College of Public Health at The Ohio State University are studying environmental contaminants that may be related to industrial activity in Ohio communities. By working with participants in Ashtabula and Licking County, we aim to identify areas where contamination may be higher than expected.

In this study, we will measure levels of heavy metals and radioactive radium. These contaminants can come from both natural sources and human/industrial activities. Some of these substances can affect health, but we do not yet know whether levels are elevated in these communities.

The information gathered through this study will help us better understand potential environmental exposures and guide future research on possible health impacts.

Participants will receive compensation for their efforts. Please see the attached link for full details.
