Flood Watch issued August 1 at 2:40PM EDT until August 3 at 2:00PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of the Big Bend and Panhandle of Florida,
including the following areas, in the Big Bend of Florida, Coastal
Bay, Coastal Dixie, Coastal Franklin, Coastal Jefferson, Coastal
Taylor, Coastal Wakulla, Inland Dixie, Inland Franklin, Inland
Taylor, Inland Wakulla, Lafayette and Southern Liberty. In the
Panhandle of Florida, Coastal Gulf, Inland Bay and Inland Gulf.
* WHEN...Through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Localized spots have received 3 to 6 inches of rain so far.
An additional 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected through
Monday afternoon with isolated additional rainfall totals of
5 to 8 inches possible.
