Key Messages:
●Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area
Tuesday. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, tornadoes,
heavy rainfall which could lead to flash flooding, and large hail. Multiple rounds of showers
and thunderstorms are expected between the early morning and the evening. Greatest threat for
severe storms is between 2 PM and 8 PM.
●A Flash Flood Watch has been issued, effective 6 AM Tuesday through 2 AM Wednesday for
portions of southeast Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and northern Delaware, mainly along the I-95
corridor.
●Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms likely continue into Wednesday, particularly
across Delmarva and coastal New Jersey. Damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall leading to
flash flooding are the primary threats in this area.
●While river flooding is not currently forecast, locally heavy rainfall could lead to significant rises on
nearby rivers leading to a risk of river flooding
