Wildfire smoke continues to affect Allegheny County, creating unhealthy breathing conditions.
🟤 TONIGHT (Thursday): Code Maroon – Hazardous ➡️ Health warning of emergency conditions. Everyone should avoid outdoor physical activity.
🟣 FRIDAY: Code Purple – Very Unhealthy ➡️ Sensitive groups should remain indoors and avoid all outdoor activity. Everyone else should avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor activities.
Who is most at risk? • Children and teens • Older adults • People with asthma, COPD, or other heart and lung conditions
🏠 Stay indoors when possible, keep windows closed, and seek air-conditioned spaces if your home becomes too warm.
