High temperatures are expected to drive increased electric demand across the region today, Tuesday, July 14. Tarentum Redcat Power customers are asked to voluntarily reduce electricity use between 4:00 and 7:00 PM, with the greatest need expected from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Residents can help by:
• Raising air-conditioning thermostats a few degrees
• Delaying laundry and dishwasher use
• Avoiding unnecessary lighting and appliances
• Charging electric vehicles outside the peak period
Even small reductions across the community can help lower Tarentum’s peak demand and control future electric costs. Thank you for your cooperation!
