The next time you cruise down the canals and notice how clean they look, especially the lateral canal, you can thank this group of awesome volunteers! We missed a few in the picture but it was a great day for keeping Bayou Vista beautiful!
A special thanks goes out to Coastal Piling & Restoration. Not only did Paul Hershey bring the manpower with himself, Tico, and Rudy, he volunteered his barge, trailer, and mini trac. You can’t do a canal cleanup to this level without help like this. Much appreciated sir for all you and Jennifer McCrummen Hershey do for this community!
Thanks also goes out to Jimmy Plante and Turtlehead Productions for donating the awesome shirts and Elvis & Sandy Stone with Global Poly Solutions for the strongest trash bags we’ve ever seen.
Another huge thank you to the Bayou Vista Fishing club and Smokin Z’s for sponsoring lunch. Also KT Timbur for donating the bottled water.
Our court clerk Ms. Stephanie Laws did another great job helping with coordinating everything! Mr. John Venzke and the BVVFD for being on standby. Thankfully we didn’t need him but glad he was there.
It’s just another testament to how this community comes together to make things happen! It’s an honor to be your Mayor!
