Community Blood Bank Seeking Summer Donors
Donate in August and Receive a Limited-Edition Anniversary Tumbler
Erie, PA– Community Blood Bank (CBB) is continuing its anniversary year celebration by
inviting community members to donate blood this August and help strengthen the local blood
supply during one of the most challenging times of year for collections.
Summer is traditionally one of the most difficult seasons for maintaining a stable blood supply.
Donors are busy with travel, vacations, and other changing schedules. However, the needs of our
hospitals remain constant.
“Every donation is an opportunity to help someone in our community,” said (NAME, & TITLE)
at the Community Blood Bank. “This August, we invite our neighbors to help neighbors and
ensure local patients have the blood products they need.”

Throughout August, everyone who donates blood with Community Blood Bank will receive an
exclusive Anniversary Tumbler. This campaign reflects CBB’s ongoing anniversary theme,
Neighbors Helping Neighbors, and serves as a reminder that local blood donors continue to be
the driving force of their mission.

Walk-ins will be taken as space allows.
Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood
for patients in need. If you are at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and are in good general
health, you may be eligible to donate blood. You must have a valid photo ID to donate. Prior to donating, those
giving blood should eat a good, solid meal and drink at least 18 oz. of water. To learn more or to find a blood drive
