Live Outage Map - Beta Version Now Available

The Borough has launched a beta version of our new live electric outage map. This tool is designed to provide residents with better, faster information during power outages. When an outage is detected through our meter system, the map can display the affected area in near real time. Residents can also report an outage online, and those reports help us identify and verify potential issues faster.
Because this is still in beta, we are asking residents to help us test it during future outages. The next time you lose power, please use our website's online outage reporting tool.

This tool is part of our communications kit, which includes our Savvy Citizen app, where the Borough sends public notices and alerts directly to residents via the app or email. The outage map helps show what is happening, while Savvy Citizen helps us quickly communicate updates to the public.
This project was built in-house using existing Borough systems and low-cost tools. The ongoing cost is less than $5 per month, compared to commercial outage management products that can cost tens of thousands of dollars per year.
We are committed to building practical, cost-effective solutions in-house when it makes sense. That approach helps us improve service, communicate better with residents, and save public dollars.
