We’re so happy to see the kids playing and having fun in our beautiful waterfront community! Living on the water is truly a special way of life.
Could you please remind your children to stop and check both ways before crossing the street?
MOTORISTS, please be extra careful around the kids. It’s summertime!
Just a heads-up: City of Bayou Vista Ordinance Sec. 10.02.08 states that sidewalks are off-limits to all vehicles. Here’s the full text:
A. No person shall operate, use, or ride a motor vehicle, bicycle, roller-skates, scooter, or skateboard in and/or over any public sidewalk within the corporate limits of the City of Bayou Vista, Texas.
This rule has been in place since 1990 and is currently being reviewed. It’s likely to be discussed at the July Regular Council Meeting. We’d love for you to come and share your thoughts during the Citizen’s comments.
