The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northeastern Ashtabula County in northeastern Ohio...
Southern Erie County in northwestern Pennsylvania...
Northwestern Crawford County in northwestern Pennsylvania...

* Until 1045 PM EDT.

* At 950 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles northwest
of Girard, or 15 miles north of Conneaut, moving southeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect damage to
trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
Erie, Conneaut, Edinboro, Girard, Waterford, Albion, Lake City,
Cranesville, Springboro, Platea, McKean, and Avonia.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on Lake Erie, get away from the water and move indoors or inside
a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the
parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough
to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
