Crews are still working to safely trim and remove trees that are impacting power lines before electric service can be restored.
This is the second tree-related power outage in the Borough this weekend. While each outage has involved different circumstances, we would like to take this opportunity to remind residents and property owners of the important role tree maintenance plays in helping reduce outages.
Tarentum Borough trims trees throughout the year to help maintain the electric system, protect infrastructure, and reduce the likelihood of power interruptions. However, residents and property owners also play an important role by properly maintaining trees on their property before they grow into or interfere with power lines.
We appreciate everyone’s continued patience as crews work to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.
