Description
Flood Advisory issued June 19 at 7:22AM CDT until June 19 at 10:30AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Callahan, Jones, Shackelford and Taylor.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 722 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Abilene, Clyde, Anson, Albany, Baird, Tye, Hawley, Moran,
Putnam, Hamby, Nugent, Dyess Afb, Ibex, Impact, Us-283 Near
The Callahan-Shackelford County Line, Mccarty Lake, Lake Fort
Phantom Hill, The Intersection Of Us-180 And Farm Road 600,
Funston and Hodges.
- This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 275 and 323.
This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, I-20 Frontage
Roads near Putnam, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway,
Butternut Underpass, Intersections along Sammons Street,
Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, I-20 Frontage Roads near
Baird, I-20 Frontage Roads west of Clyde, North 6th Street
and Willis and US 84 frontage Road crossing Little Elm Creek.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
