Description
Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 12:05PM CDT until June 6 at 3:15PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
county, Jones.
* WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1203 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Up to 1 inch of rain is expected to fall over
areas that received very heavy rainfall last night, which
will cause flooding to occur faster today. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Northeastern Abilene, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin, Hawley,
Lueders, Avoca, Nugent, Noodle, Neinda, Funston, Truby,
Hodges, The Intersection Of Us-180 And Farm Road 600, The
Intersection Of Us-180 And Ranch Road 126, Stith, Tuxedo and
Lake Fort Phantom Hill.
- This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
CO Rd. 444 crossing Noodle Creek, CO Rd. 212 crossing
California Creek, County Road 245 crossing California Creek,
County Road 242 crossing Flag Branch, crossings along County
Road 141, County Road 260 crossing Harmony Creek, County Road
261 crossing Cottonwood Creek and County Road 209 crossing
Post Oak Creek.
