Description
Hello, Lawrence Park residents! As your Township Manager, I want to share some exciting news about our road paving project for 2026. Our goal is to create safer, stronger, and more reliable roads in our community.
𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔):
- 𝑺𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒆: From Bell to Field, Field to Main Street, and Iroquois to Morris.
- 𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒆 𝑨𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏
- 𝑫𝒐𝒃𝒃𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒅: From Joliet to Putnam and Putnam to Lake Cliff.
- 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒚 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆: From Morse Street to Emmett Drive (near the elementary school).
While some roads like Rumsey, Rankin, Silliman, Frontenac, Crotty Drive Extension, Whitney Way, and Cabot were considered, they will remain part of our ongoing plans for future paving.

Beyond this year's immediate projects, we are committed to proactive infrastructure management. We are creating and maintaining a 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘦 that serves as a long-term map for our community. This strategic plan allows us to visualize and prepare for road needs across different timelines:
- 𝟏-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧: Immediate construction and high-priority repairs.
- 𝟓-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧: Middle-term projects focused on rehabilitation to prevent major deterioration.
- 𝟏𝟎+ 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧: Major infrastructure overhauls and replacements to ensure long-term fiscal responsibility.
By mapping these cycles out, we can better allocate funds, minimize emergency repairs, and ensure every street in Lawrence Park receives the attention it needs at the right time.
📅 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭:
During the paving work, there may be some temporary inconveniences, but we appreciate your patience as we work to improve our roads! We are committed to transparency and will continue to share updates as the project progresses.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
