The 50 Club of Galveston County, and organization dedicated to supporting peace officers and their families who are injured or killed in the line of duty, has officially recognized Corporal Jayna Proffitt as the peace officer of the year 2026.
Corporal Proffitt was honored for her exceptional dedication to the Bayou Vista Police Department and the residents it serves. Know as the "face of the department," her standards have been instrumental in establishing the agency as a respected model of local law enforcement.
The department invites the community to congratulate Corporal Jayna Proffitt on her prestigious accomplishment and her ongoing commitment to public safety.
