Special Weather Statement issued May 2 at 11:15AM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL

At 1115 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles north of Andrews to near Horseshoe
Point. Movement was southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Horseshoe Point, Suwannee, Horseshoe Beach, Shired Island, Old Town,
Yellow Jacket, and Fanning Springs.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
