Special Weather Statement issued April 18 at 2:50AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX

At 248 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms over
the southern Big Country from Sweetwater to Abilene to Albany. The
storms were moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Abilene, Sweetwater, Clyde, Anson, Albany, Baird, Roscoe, Nolan,
Merkel, Tye, Roby, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Lueders, Trent, Moran,
Woodson, Noodle, Ibex, and Longworth.

This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 229 and 308.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
