Special Weather Statement issued April 18 at 2:21AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX
At 220 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Albany to near Hodges to
near Sweetwater. Movement was southeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Abilene, Sweetwater, Clyde, Winters, Anson, Baird, Nolan, Merkel,
Tye, Tuscola, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Trent, Lawn, Noodle, Bradshaw,
Caps, Hylton, Wingate, and Nugent.
This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 239 and 311.
