Description
Flood Advisory issued April 11 at 9:45PM CDT until April 12 at 12:45AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Callahan, Coke, Fisher, Jones, Nolan, Runnels,
Shackelford, Taylor and Tom Green.
* WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 944 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Abilene, Clyde, Winters, Anson, Robert Lee, Blackwell,
Maverick, Nolan, Merkel, Tye, Bronte, Miles, Tuscola, Hawley,
Buffalo Gap, Trent, Lawn, Coronados Camp, Happy Valley and
Wingate.
- This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 257 and 299.
This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Intersections along
Buttonwillow Parkway, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw
Drive, Intersections along Sammons Street, I-20 Frontage
Roads west of Clyde, Butternut Underpass, FM 89 crossing
Scott Hollow, US 84 frontage Road crossing Little Elm Creek,
Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek and FM 89 crossing
Elm Creek.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
