Description
The combination of heavy rains and strong winds this time of year can leave trees uprooted and broken branches everywhere. Our staff have already noticed a significant volume of tree damage in the township this season. Efforts are being made to identify and resolve the incidents.

If you see damaged limbs or trees leaning on power lines, or blocking roadways or ditches, please keep a safe distance and report them to the proper authorities.

For downed power lines, the first call should be to 911, followed by The Illuminating Company at 888-544-4877. If you are unable to reach The Illuminating Company or do not receive a sufficient response, Plymouth Township Fire Department is the backup option at 440-993-4350. Remember to always stay 30 feet away from any downed line, and 100 feet away if water is involved.

For trees or limbs resting on power lines, call The Illuminating Company. If they are blocking roadways or ditches, call the Plymouth Road Department at 440-997-3821.

Trees or limbs leaning on the lowest lines of the telephone pole should be reported to the local telecommunications provider.
