Tarentum Borough will be transitioning to a new utility billing software system over the next several months, with a planned launch in mid-summer.

This change comes as our current software contract is ending and, despite our efforts, it has not delivered the full suite of services we expected. The new system will provide improved functionality, better reliability, and additional features that will enhance both operations and the customer experience.

As part of this upgrade, code enforcement and permitting will also be integrated into the new system. This will allow for digital code enforcement and zoning interactions for the first time, making it easier for residents and contractors to submit applications, track progress, and communicate with Borough staff.

As we move closer to the go-live date, additional details and instructions will be shared with residents.

To ensure data integrity during the transition, the Borough will temporarily suspend budget billing and a few minor system features between April and June. Once the new system is fully implemented, updated budget billing agreements will be issued. We have confirmed that the new system offers a more straightforward and user-friendly budget billing process.

If needed, the Borough will work with residents on payment arrangements during this transition period.
