Description
In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 22nd an individual, or group dumped a large load of trash, furniture and medical waste near the corner of Carson and State Roads. That same morning, a similar incident took place in Sheffield Township.
After a joint investigation by township officials and the Ashtabula County Sheriffs Department, it was determined that the incidents were related. The ACSD is currently analyzing the evidence, and a potential suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided as they become available.
We want to thank the Ashtabula County Sheriffs Department for the rapid response and the multiple residents who provided important details to the investigation.
We also want to thank Road Supervisor Todd Graf, and rest of the Plymouth Township road crew for the quick cleanup and collection of evidence.
Plymouth Township Trustees and staff are committed to keeping our community clean and safe for all our residents. Littering, dumping, and vandalism of any kind will be prosecuted to the full extent possible.
If you see anyone involved in these activities, please report them immediately to our Zoning Inspector, Ryan Lencl at 440-536-1944.
