• Severe thunderstorms likely this afternoon and evening. The primary hazard is expected to be damaging winds, though there is also potential for a few tornadoes.
• Excessive rainfall from thunderstorms may result in localized flash flooding.
• Gusty winds are expected this afternoon into tonight, even outside of thunderstorms. Wind gusts could reach 40-50 mph at times, and a Wind Advisory is in effect for much of the area. These winds will initially be out of the south through this evening and then shift to westerly overnight in the wake of the cold front.
