Description
Following yesterday’s severe wind storms, residents are advised to use caution when traveling throughout the municipality today. There have been multiple reports of downed trees, damaged utility poles, and power lines, and many residents remain without electricity.

At this time, West Penn Power and Duquesne Light are aware of the outages, including those affecting Lincoln Borough. Currently, no estimated restoration times have been provided. There are power outages reported across Allegheny County due to the widespread weather impacts.

Our Police and Fire Departments have addressed known reports of downed wires and trees as much as possible, however additional hazards may still exist. If you encounter downed trees, wires, or other storm-related hazards, please report them so they can be investigated.

🚨 IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS:
~DO NOT approach, touch, or drive over any downed wires.
~Be aware of power lines that may be tangled in fallen trees or branches, which can be difficult to see.
~Use extreme caution while traveling.
~Call 911 for emergencies

Residents are also encouraged to check on neighbors, especially seniors or those who may need assistance during power outages.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as crews continue working to restore services and keep our community safe.
