Description
Alderman Pizzo, Alderman Sukal, and I recently met with John Mercer of Lynn Engineering to discuss street repaving. Unfortunately, our city does not qualify for major repaving grants because we do not meet the low-to-moderate income requirements.
At this time, our best option is to continue patching and maintaining our streets. Mayor ProTem Caplan has been working with Fox Paving to identify the areas most in need of patching. If there is a significant pothole on your street, please contact him at Alderman3@BayouVista.us
I wanted to share this so you understand the challenges we face and the reasons behind our current approach.
