Hereβs whatβs happening at City Hall:
π **Police Vehicles** β We will soon begin accepting bids on the two black & white patrol vehicles (February agenda item). This is a cost-saving move for maintenance and insurance.
π³ **Redfish Lot Gazebo** β Plans are underway to build a gazebo using donated funds and labor. Electrical and lighting are also being routed to the relocated structure at the Redfish lot.
βοΈ **Municipal Court Updates**
β’ We will swear in our new Municipal Judge at the next regular council meeting. PLEASE JOIN US 02/24/26
β’ Officially swore in the lieutenant and full time police officers at the January meeting
β’ One or more officers will attend bailiff training.
β’ A metal-detecting wand will be purchased to enhance court security.
π£οΈ **I-45 Expansion Update** β A representative from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will attend an upcoming council meeting to provide updates.
π **City Audit** β We are meeting with our financial auditors on February 17. They will also present their findings to Council at a regularly scheduled meeting.
ποΈ **Palapa Project** β Alderman Sukal has generously donated the electrical work for the recently relocated palapa. We are currently accepting bids to pour a concrete slab underneath it.

π **Community Events**
β’ BVVFD βBoots Backing Bootsβ Fundraiser β March 14 at 6:00 PM
β’ Faith Community Church Easter Egg Hunt β April 4 at 11:00 AM
The City will also host a sponsored event at the park in conjunction with their activities.
π§ **Road Repairs** β Road work has resumed. Please be patient and cautious around recent road cuts.
ποΈ **Building Inspector Position** β Applications have been received, and the review process is underway.
β’ Phase one of the drainage project culvert clean out is complete.
β’ Formed a crew to be on standby in the event of issues caused by the winter storm
β’ Had warming centers on standby at the community center & MUD Bldg in the event of power outages
