Description
Due to extremely cold temperatures, Monday–Thursday (Feb. 2–5) are expected to be peak electric demand days across our region.

During peak hours (6–9 AM and 5–8 PM), residents are encouraged to reduce electric use where possible by:
--Lowering thermostats slightly
--Delaying laundry, dishwashers, EV charging, or other high-use appliances

Why this matters:
A small number of high-demand hours each year determine a significant portion of the Borough’s future electric costs. Reducing usage during these peak hours helps avoid higher long-term power costs, which in turn helps stabilize electric rates for residents.

Thank you for helping keep Tarentum’s electric system reliable and affordable.
