Description
While our road crews have done a great job working throughout the day, changing conditions can still create hazards. Snow, ice, and slush may melt in the sunshine and with road treatments, but as temperatures drop again overnight, these areas can quickly refreeze and become slick. Please continue to use caution, slow down, and allow extra time when traveling — especially in open or rural areas where winds may blow snow back onto roadways throughout the day and into the evening.
Safety tips:
⚠️Reduce speed and increase following distance
↩️Avoid sudden braking or sharp turns
❄️Watch for black ice, especially on bridges and shaded areas
🧤Dress for the cold and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle
