Description
Ligonier Borough Mayor Tom Freeman has declared a local state of emergency effective immediately due to hazardous winter storm conditions. All municipal departments and emergency services are authorized to take necessary actions to ensure public safety.
Residents are urged to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to close or operate remotely when possible to reduce travel hazards and to allow public works and emergency personnel to operate effectively.
The declaration shall remain in effect until conditions improve and the emergency is formally terminated.
