Description
As you all know, we are expecting a significant snow event this weekend, with impacts beginning Saturday night and continuing through early Monday. Forecast confidence continues to increase, and Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the entire region. Snowfall totals of 6 inches or more are expected, with heavy snow at times creating hazardous travel conditions.
🚗 If you do not need to leave your home, please stay in and stay safe.
🚙 Parking Reminder: To allow crews to safely and effectively clear roadways, we ask all residents to use driveways and off-street parking whenever possible. Please avoid parking on streets during the storm.
🚜Our Public Works road-crew will be working around the clock to treat and maintain roadways as conditions allow throughout this storm. Please be aware that more than 90 municipalities are currently experiencing a salt shortage. As a result, we are carefully conserving our supply while prioritizing safety on all roadways. Our Public Works road-crew will remain on duty 24/7 until this weather event has ended. This is a significant storm, and we kindly ask residents to be courteous, patient, and understanding as crews work under challenging conditions.
⚠️ Plowing Priorities: Plowing operations will prioritize hills and main roads, followed by side streets. When possible, please avoid traveling on steep hills, as safer alternate routes are often available. Staying home whenever possible helps our crews work more efficiently and keeps everyone safe.
🐾 Bring pets indoors and make sure they are warm and safe.
🏠 Secure loose outdoor items and check on neighbors who may need assistance.
