The National Weather Service is projecting a significant snowstorm over the weekend. Tarentum Borough is actively preparing for this event. All Borough snow-removal vehicles are being serviced and staged, and staffing plans are in place to respond as conditions develop.
As a reminder, the Borough follows an established snow-removal priority route system during severe weather events. Main roads and priority routes are addressed first to ensure emergency access and public safety. Alleys will be plowed, but they are last on the priority list and may take additional time. If the storm is as severe as currently forecast, residents are urged to make alternative travel plans and remain at home if possible. Limiting travel helps keep roads clear for plow crews and emergency responders.
