Description
Special Weather Statement issued January 20 at 12:39PM CST by NWS San Angelo TX

An arctic cold front will bring bitter cold air into west central
Texas starting Friday and lasting through this weekend. Temperatures
will remain in the teens and 20s Saturday and Sunday with wind chill
values as low as 5 below zero to 10 above zero.

For precipitation, expect widespread light freezing rain and sleet
across much of the area Friday night through Saturday night. There
is a low chance of moderate to heavy freezing rain which would bring
significant icing and possible weather related power outages.
Travel will become hazardous and nearly impossible if there is major
ice accumulation. In addition, some snow is possible across the Big
Country with a few inches of accumulation.

Please be prepared for possible winter weather this weekend
and keep up with the latest weather information and forecasts.
