Freeze Watch issued January 14 at 12:07AM EST until January 16 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Tallahassee FL
* WHAT...Hard freeze with temperatures of 20 to 25 expected with
some pockets of upper teens possible.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, the Big Bend and Panhandle
of Florida, and south central and southwest Georgia.
* WHEN...From Thursday evening through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes
they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those
that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover
above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
