Lake Effect Snow Warning issued January 1 at 12:45PM EST until January 2 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 4 and 8 inches.
* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A band of lake effect snow will push back
onshore this evening and will become nearly stationary tonight
into Friday morning before slowly lifting back north and
weakening. Snowfall rates could reach 1 inch per hour at times
tonight.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
