Description
All cats and dogs are required to be registered annually with the Borough and, by law, all dogs must be registered with Allegheny County. Penalties for non-compliance include monetary fines.
Each year, the Borough waives its $25.00 registration fee during the month of January only. Your options to register your pet in person at the Borough Office during this time are:
Tuesdays and Thursdays in January from 9:00 am to 5 pm
Every Saturday in January from 10 am to noon.
The following information is required for your pet to be registered:
Your name, Address and Phone Number(s)
Type of Pet
Pet’s Breed and Color(s)
Pet’s Name
Current Veterinarian issued Rabies Certificate
Upon receipt of all required information, the Borough will issue a 2026 Pet Registration tag that can be attached to your pet’s collar. This tag can be used as an identifier should your pet become lost.
As is standard policy, the registration fee for NEW pets is waived throughout the year when they are registered within 30 days of arriving in the Borough.
