Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 30 at 2:22AM EST until January 1 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations up to
24 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph through this evening.

* WHERE...Crawford and Southern Erie Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds could bring
down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Initial round of lake effect snow will bring
an additional 2 to 6 inches of snowfall through tonight. Another
impactful period of heavy lake effect snow will begin this evening
and continue through Thursday evening. Snowfall amounts during
this timeframe will range between 10 and 15 inches. Locally higher
amounts up to 18 inches are possible where snow bands persist.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
