Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 13 at 9:57PM EST until December 15 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 3 and 10 inches, heaviest across southern Erie County and
parts of Crawford County. Locations north of I-90 in Erie County
will see the lower end of the accumulation range.
* WHERE...Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling and blowing snow on Sunday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow squalls are expected to be
most intense late tonight through Sunday afternoon. Snow squalls
may produce near zero visibility and snow rates of 1 to 2 inches
per hour at times on Sunday, especially in the higher terrain
inland from Lake Erie.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
