Description
Lawrence Park Township recently received the results of a routine compliance audit from the Pennsylvania Auditor General’s Office for the Township’s Non-Uniformed Employees’ Pension Plan.
The audit identified an issue concerning how pensions were calculated and reported. The Township is taking the required steps to correct the reporting and ensure compliance with state regulations.
The Township is currently:
• Reviewing all relevant records;
• Working with our actuarial partners to implement the required corrections;
• Strengthening internal controls for future reporting;
• Continuing full cooperation with the Auditor General’s Office.
